Cleaner Wood Stoves means greater efficiency, less waste, more heat for your money and less pollution
When wood burns it produces a flammable gas which we call smoke. In a normal stove this smoke is drawn away by the chimney draught and introduced to the atmosphere
In a Defra approved smokeless stove this gas (smoke) is remixed with oxygen and re ignited before it leaves the wood stove, resulting in more heat and less pollution.
Quick and easy to light, Environmentally friendly, Economical to run, low maintenance, comfortable heat. Complies to the Clean Air Act
What more can we say.
Heating Comfort with a Green Conscience
Very little smoke is released from this stove because it has a baffle. When the fire box is above 400 degrees or so, all of the smoke is burned in a secondary combustion because the baffle mixes the wood smoke with fresh air at a combustible temperature. This means that the stove is much more efficient, safer, virtually smokeless and better for the environment. If the smoke were not burned it would condense as creosote on the inside of the chimney.
Please note ; Not all Clean burn Stoves are Defra approved Stoves
